The Savannah Police Department (SPD) stated that on August 28, an officer was seriously hurt while riding a motorcycle to help with Vice President Kamala Harris’s motorcade.
Thursday, the police put out a statement on their public website. They said it was “a single-vehicle accident” that happened around 7 p.m. and named the cop as Corporal David Bates of the Savannah Police Department. Fox 5 Atlanta said that Walz was also on the bus trip.
