Country music star Dolly Parton is very sad because her husband, Carl Thomas Dean, died on March 3, 2025. He was 82 years old. They were married for 58 years. To remember him, Dolly made a sad song called “If You Hadn’t Been There.” She also shared a picture of them together. She wrote about how much she loved him, and how they met when she was 18. The song is about how thankful she is for his love and help during their long time together.
Dolly, who is 79, also told her fans on Instagram that she appreciates their kind words. She said she misses Carl very much. They met at a place where people wash clothes in Nashville. Carl liked to stay out of the public eye. Dolly’s song shows how much she loved him. She also made a song for her uncle, Billy Earl Owens, who died in 2021.
