Ingredients:
🟡 4 chicken thighs or drumsticks
🟡 250 g flour
🟡 1 teaspoon salt
🟡 1 teaspoon black pepper
🟡 1 teaspoon garlic powder
🟡 1 teaspoon paprika powder
🟡 1 teaspoon onion powder
🟡 1 egg
🟡 200 ml buttermilk
🟡 1 teaspoon baking powder
🟡 Sunflower oil (for frying)

Procedure:
Step 1:
👩 🍳 Marinate the chicken
Mix 200 ml of buttermilk and 1 teaspoon of salt in a bowl. Add the chicken and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (preferably 2 hours). This will ensure that the chicken stays juicy while frying.

Step 2:
👩 🍳 Prepare the flower seasoning
In another bowl, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and baking soda. This is your coating for the chicken.

Step 3:
👩 🍳 Beat the egg
In a small bowl, beat the egg. Add a little bit of water to make it a bit thinner.

Step 4:
👩 🍳 Coat the chicken
Remove the marinated chicken from the buttermilk and dip it first in the flower seasoning, then in the beaten egg, and then again in the flower seasoning. This will create the crispy crust.

Step 5:
🍳 Deep-fry
Heat a large pan with sunflower oil to 175°C. Deep-fry the chicken pieces for about 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain the chicken on paper towels.

Step 6:
🍽️ Serve and enjoy
Serve the chicken warm with a delicious dipping sauce or fries. Enjoy your homemade KFC chicken!
