Fantastic bolognese ragu


Ingredients:
500 g minced π₯© beef
1 onion, finely chopped π§
2 garlic cloves, minced π§
2 carrots, cut π₯ into small cubes
2 celery stalks, cut πΏ into small cubes
800 g diced tomatoes (canned) π
2 tbsp tomato paste π
350 ml beef stock π₯£
2 tbsp olive oil π«
1 teaspoon dried oregano πΏ
1 teaspoon dried basil πΏ
Salt and pepper to taste π§
Fresh basil for garnish πΏ
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional) π§
Spaghetti or other pasta of your choice π
Instructions:
Preparation:
Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. π«π₯
Add the finely chopped onion, garlic, carrots and celery. Saute until vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes. π§

To add meat:
Add the ground beef to the pan and sautΓ© until the meat is browned. Make sure to crumble the meat well while baking. π₯©π³
Tomatoes and herbs:
Add the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and beef broth. Stir well. π

Add the dried oregano and basil. Season with salt and pepper. πΏπ§
To simmer:
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer gently uncovered for at least 1.5 to 2 hours. Stir occasionally. This helps the flavors develop properly. π²β³
Serve:
Cook the spaghetti or pasta according to the instructions on the package. π
