Ed Kelce, the father of Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce, revealed that he has been permanently banned from the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter). This ban came after he criticized the platform over a recent report from The Times in London, which alleged that arms dealers in Yemen are using X to sell weapons. The report claimed that these dealers are operating in the capital city of Sanaa, which is controlled by the Houthis. Ed Kelce had shared the article on X before facing the ban.

Kelce shared the article on his Facebook page.

“Arms dealers are free to peddle their wares on X, but I’m banned for life and they won’t say why, just a generic ‘Terms Of Service’ violation,” he wrote.

Travis Kelce shared a humorous anecdote about his father’s social media habits during an episode of “Bussin with the Boys” in June. He mentioned that his dad, Ed Kelce, is an active Facebook user who often comes across rumors and false posts, especially about Travis and Taylor Swift. Despite the misinformation, Ed makes it a point to check in with Travis to ensure everything is fine.

Travis recounted, “He’ll see some wild s— come across and be like, ‘What the f— is this?’ It’ll be something so f—ing out of the blue, like something about me and Taylor, and he’s like, ‘Hey, what the… are you guys OK?’”

Travis humorously responded, “Dad, get the f— off Facebook, Dad. Are you f—ing kidding me?” highlighting how his father uses Facebook as his go-to source for information.
